In this step-by-step guide, we\u2019ll show you exactly how to create an eye-catching surreal composite by blending 2 images in\u00a0Pixlr E<\/a>!<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

What is surrealism?<\/strong><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Essentially, surrealism is the act of melding reality with dreams to create imaginative juxtapositions of imagery. It focuses on normal subjects, things we see or encounter in our everyday lives, and presents them in a dreamlike way. Step 1: Choose the right images<\/h2>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Here, we have an image of a great white shark swimming in the ocean. The shark is the only subject in the photo (foreground), and there\u2019s nothing else in the blue ocean waters (background).<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Step 2: Adjust Hue & Saturation<\/h2>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

In order to create a cohesive look, you need to match the background colors of both images by using\u00a0Hue\u00a0<\/strong>(Adjustment > Hue & Saturation). You can easily change the colors of the images simply by dragging the slider.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

If you think the colors of the images are too muted or dull, you can increase the\u00a0Saturation<\/strong>. But remember not to overdo it \u2013 moderation is key.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Step 3: Use Cutout\/Mask<\/h2>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

After you\u2019ve selected the\u00a0Draw Mask<\/strong>, go to\u00a0Mode<\/strong>\u00a0and choose\u00a0Remove from Mask<\/strong>. Now, you\u2019re free to adjust your\u00a0Brush<\/strong>\u00a0size, softness and opacity.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
